This week LIVE students attended a workshop on wheelchair skills training with Whizz-Kidz, a charity that specialises in supporting lives of disabled children and young adults. The students had the opportunity to improve and develop their wheelchair skills in different situations and in different environments, helping them to increase their confidence and independence.

For their community participation visits this half term, Strive 1 have been visiting TouchBase Pears in Selly Oak. Students have been using the community library there to choose books to explore and look at, they have also been able to choose and order their own lunch in the café.  The students have then taken part in  sensory dance sessions where they identified and danced with different body parts, did lots of stretches and movement to music and even came up with their own ‘signature moves’.
